MOTOR trade businesses in the north-western suburbs converging on Lindsay Fox's Essendon Fields complex, which occupies part of the old Essendon Airport, are providing developers with some prime opportunities. The land they are vacating is ripe for large-scale residential developments. One of the latest to hit the market is the outgoing John Sady Honda motor service centre at 2 Vida Street, in the riverside Essendon pocket of Aberfeldie. The site, about 10,000 square metres near the corner of Buckley Street and next door to Ave Maria College, is expected to be redeveloped into a medium-density apartment project, possibly with a component of social housing.Vida Street is one of a handful in Aberfeldie that stretches from Buckley Street to the Maribyrnong River.
